On December 14, 2023, Congress enacted the Foreign Extortion Prevention Act (FEPA), for the first time criminalizing the demand side of international bribery and imposing criminal liability on foreign government actors who solicit or accept bribes from companies or individuals subject to U.S. jurisdiction. Join the D.C. Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and Joe Whitley as he moderates an all-star panel—Luke Cass, Chuck Duross, and Ellen Crisham Pellegrini—to discuss how DOJ has implemented FEPA and how FEPA has impacted FCPA enforcement in the United States.
